Green and Sustainable Toscana Stone is produced in a way that preserves and honors the environment and ensures sustainability of the quarries from which the stone comes. The marble surfaces are made from recycled marble chips ground into the desired size and consistency. The remaining material from the marble blocks are converted into purified calcium carbonate and is used for making plastic furniture, abrasives and tooth care products. The quartz surfaces are made from pieces of quartz left over from the cutting of blocks and slabs. In addition, the quartz slabs and tiles incorporate recycled colored and white glass, and recycled mirrors and jewelry, such as mother-of-pearl buttons and semi-precious stones.
Uniform in Color, Patterning and Appearance Because stringent quality control measures are applied to the entire production process and the process is the same each time the slabs or tiles are produced, the end product meets all specifications set forth by the manufacturer. Due to this ability to industrialize production, Toscana Stone is able to offer a limited 10-year warranty against defects in the tiles or slabs.
Available in a Wide Variety of Colors Pigment is applied during the manufacturing process to produce the desired color. This means that the customer can have material that looks like marble or granite but is available in designer colors and in textures. Due to the uniformity of color, it is possible to mix and match different materials within the Toscana lines. Toscana has 62 colors of quartz and marble slabs and tiles-- almost twice as many colors as its competitors.
